Job Description

Reports to: Regional Sales Manager

 

Job purpose: Working in collaboration with the RSM’s and local sales teams, the HPM is required to drive the effective business planning and key account management to ensure sales and market share targets are met. The HPM is responsible for shaping the NHS environment for forthcoming product launches, existing products and formulary acceleration through leading and implementing high level account management principles. The HPM role involves creating / maintaining both strategic and operational relationships with influential NHS customers to accelerate the influence of Urgo and grow revenue, The role reports to the Regional Sales Manager and works alongside the regional team to develop Urgo’s local market access strategy, bringing field insights into the region and also Head Office. Leads the key account planning process for the region and creates the right environment for positive adoption and pull through of formularies/ guidelines. Positions Urgo regionally as an Industry partner of choice and utilises the Partnership offering with senior NHS stakeholders to innovate access for target accounts ultimately resulting in formulary inclusion. Ideally this position will suit an experienced representative who has passion, drive and enthusiasm in promoting the Urgo range of products for Woundcare.  

 

Responsibilities:

  • Customer base: CCG Locality Leads, board members and those responsible for policy decision making within the locality and region. APC members, commissioners, lead regional procurement members, committee members, AHSN networks, non-medical prescribing leads, nursing officers, TVN Managers and quality and assurance leads, patient safety and integrated governance members of CIC’s.  
  • Delivery of a market access strategy nationally ultimately to drive formulary inclusion
  • Identify profitable business opportunities and manage regional MA plan.
  • Creates and owns regional account formulary development plans.
  • Demonstrates in-depth NHS knowledge within key indication areas
  • Meet agreed Metrics & SFE Standards working within relevant policies.
  • Develop and promote Regional / National product advocates
  • Work with regional team to drive sales in account
  • Majority of activity to be spent with policy decision makers / drivers
  • Maintain NHS knowledge to expert level.
  • Identify and implement projects within the region centrered around NHS Work streams, Quality, Efficiencies and CCG / LAT needs that will lead to increased access and revenue.
  • Working knowledge of NHS documents such as Five Year Forward

 

Context:

This job sits within the Regional Sales Team.

Your role is the NHS/Health Service expert and the “go to” person in the Region for information. A full knowledge of the NHS and “Five Year Forward View” and local CCG work streams.

To succeed in this role you will need to have an entrepreneurial approach as you will be expected to help identify opportunities and develop the Urgo Partnership took-kit. You should be competent at solution selling, listening to the customers’ needs and using the most appropriate tools to tailor a bespoke solution.

- Degree level or equivalent, ideally in business (or be able to demonstrate appropriate and applicable career based experience)

Work Experience

- Successful key account management background (or business development) gained ideally within Wound Care.

- Proven budgeting and targeting experience

- High level of knowledge of the current NHS structure, potential organisational changes and business methods
